I head out to the blackcurrant fields of Cassis Monna & Filles, on île d’Orléans to learn about harvesting.

This season, the owners are gathering the fruit with a new harvester adapted from wine culture.

I met with Catherine Monna, co-owner of Cassis Monna & Filles, who showed me the way around the gathering of the crop.
